Final Day of Vacation

Today was our final full day of vacation in Dennisport. Although, a little too laid back for me and shopping stinks - we had a great time. My kids haven't stopped thanking me for the fun vacation. We definately picked the right place to stay, it was close to everything, right on the beach and the pool was a great added bonus, since my kids decided they really didn't like the beach.

The kids getting ready to dive into a pie from Marion's Pie Shop. We must say, Olivia's apple pie is better. Nana and I would love to open up a pie shop in Reading, just like this one!
ZooQuarium

Olivia is amazed by the turtles

The girls feed the deer. As soon as the deer start eating, the roosters come out of nowhere charging at our feet to eat all the corn that has dropped on the ground.

Pony Rides!
Lexi takes her first pony ride by herself - actually this maybe her first pony ride ever.
We learned all about the box turtle - this is Rupert and Flower.
This is Olivia posing with the bobcat. Don't you see it?? It is in the back of the picture sleeping on the wooden shelf.
Scargo Tower - me and the girls walked up to the top, after Lexi was confused and tried climbing the oustide of it. Unfortunately, when we got to the top we were all scared to death of the height and couldn't take any pictures - it took all of our might to walk back down.

Last day at the pool. It was an overcast day and a cool breeze so the kids only lasted about 1/2 hour.
Lexi puts her face in the water again. I am hoping she continues to do this at home in our pool and hopefully will be swimming under water by end of the summer.
Olivia takes Erika for a ride. She is Lexi's new friend from Montreal.

We had a lot of fun on vacation, but I think I will be starting to save for Florida. I need a little more action than the Cape can offer. Our next trip is for a long weekend in VT for a Chinese Culture Weekend and hopefully an extra day on Lake Champlain at the end of August.

Cape Cod Day 6

Today the weather was beautiful and we decided to spend the day by the pool. We were the only ones there and the girls had a great time playing in the water. Lexi even tried to put her face in the water, if we were here another week, I think she would be swimming under water. In the afternoon, we drove to the Chatham Fishing Pier and watched the seals. Here are some pics of the seals, there were about 5 or 6 of them swimming around. Who would pay for a seal watch when you can see them here for free!

When we got back to our cottage, I fired up the barbeque and made us some dinner. Tonight the weather was great so we ate outside at the picnic table.
After dinner, I walked with the girls to the beach to collect more shells.

Tomorrow we are off to the Zooquarium!

Cape Cod Day 5

Today we ventured out to Provincetown. It is so pretty out there along the National Seashore and Provincetown was a fun little town.

The sand dunes are so beautiful and breathtaking.
Portugese Bakery

Nana points to the fried dough, we all split one!

Twisted Sisters Ice Cream!
A mermaid and her pet crab.

Look what I caught in my lobster trap - 2 little crabs!

More breathtaking views of the dunes.

Cape Cod Day 4

Arghh Mateys! The Sea Gypsy sets sail huntin for sunken treasure~
The pirates take the pirate oath and sign the pirate flag.
Capt Ron recruits two pirates, Octopus Olivia and Lightning Strikin Lexi

On Board - Heave Ho - the flag is raised
The pirates put together the map and looked out for locations on the map.

The crew spies a message in a bottle floating in the ocean. Oh No, it is a message from the bad pirate, Slash, he is hunting our treasure~
Slash is seen on his boat and the crew fires the canons to sink his ship.

Slash strikes back with water pistols

Treasure is found and is hoisted aboard.

The littlest pirates get their share of the booty first.
Pirate Lexi shows us her booty!
Slash, the bad pirate is rescued from his sinking ship and brought on board for exchange of Pirates Rum (grape soda)
Pirate Lexi is afraid she is getting poisoned.
The drunken pirates play loud music and do the limbo around deck, celebrating their treasure.

Pirates pose for a picture and then change back into little kids, as you know pirating is illegal on the high seas and no one wanted to go to the brink!

What a great time for kids, I highly recommend this trip to anyway down the Cape!
