Last night, was Oliva's schools Halloween Howl. The girls had a blast. Olivia enjoyed playing the games and Lexi loved the DJ. Lexi is more of the party goer than Olivia. Olivia was ready to leave and we couldn't get Lexi off of the dance floor.
Lexi was seen doing the Conga with a bunch of 5th grade boys and later leading the Conga line with Olivia and her friends. Lexi was also seen break dancing on the floor and breaking a move with Santa! Olivia turned into a vampire princess as well, perhaps she was biten! Too funny, it was hysterical.

How Many Licks Does It Take To Get To The Center Of A Lollipop?

Lexi helped herself to a lollipop from the candy jar!

We also enjoyed a nice few hours at the Woburn Halloween Parade today, yes I said a few hours!

Olivia has also started dancing school with Lexi (the class afterwards). After viewing the gymnastics class I decided it wasn't for us. She has two more classes of gymnastics and then we are done!

This upcoming week will be a lot of fun, we have the school Halloween party, Olivia's class play and Halloween party and then of course trick or treatin!

We have made some tentative plans to take a driving trip to Dutch Country, PA this summer to meet Olivia's pen pal, Julianna, her little sister Elizabeth and of course their mom, Kolleen. Although quite a few months away, I am actually already starting to look forward to it.

And of course in order to pay for this and supplement my income, I start my part time job from home on Monday! How fun (UGGHH). I actually started last Wednesday in their office for training.

Happy Trick or Treating and can't wait to see everyone in their costume!

Watch Out Below!!!!!

Well, if the tree finally falls in the woods does anyone hear it? Oh Yeah!! So, the tree has been hung up in about four other trees now for weeks and there was no way to take it down. The tree guys came and finally figured out how to get the widow maker down as safely as possible. It was quite a sight to see. When the guy was up in the bucket and the tree shifted and fell to the ground, the guy had to duck inside the bucket to ensure he wasn't struck. Branches, leaves, limbs, and I think a few squirrels were flying everywhere!!! The tree now lays safely on the ground for our friends to cut up for the wood stove. Here are some pics, but you really needed to watch it in person! I am glad no one got hurt.

Three Years Ago Today!

Three years ago today my dossier for adopting Lexi was logged in China. My dossier was sent over on 8/31/05 and for whatever reason wasn't logged in until two months later.

So in memory of the very long wait for Lexi, today we can look back and wonder what we ever did without her.

Happy 1st Birthday Courtney & Thomas!

We had a fun afternoon celebrating the twins 1st birthday. It was also a Halloween party. One princess posed for nice pictures, the other didn't. Also, Lexi did really great at eating the donut off the string without using her hands. Enjoy these pics!

Smile Award!

I found today that I received this award from my friend Tanya Jones. Tanya traveled with us to China to adopt Lexi. She was adopting her sweet girl Olivia. Tanya picked us right out at the airport and have been friends since. I told her to look for the two blondes with the chinese girl. Once in Beijing, we adventured out of the hotel to Kentucky Fried Chicken and some snacks.

Thank you so much for giving me for the Smile Award. Sometimes you forget to smile. Olivia's fortune the other day said, when you give a smile away you get one in return. Isn't that true!

Now I would like to nominate the following:

1. Krystal Brown - for being patient, kind and reminding me to enjoy kids!

2. Aleisa Dunn - for always smiling and having a friend to lean on during the adoption!

3. Heather Court - for testing my patience and reminding me it really doesn't matter!

4. Kristen MacWilliams - for being a single mom of two wonderful girls from China and knowing how I feel!

5. Susan Crogan - for being my high school buddy and reminding me we are all adults now!

Congratulations to you all!

Look Who Turned 38!

Yes it is true, I turned 38 years old today. With the exception of being sick with a bad cold and laryngitis. Papa made dinner and the girls made me this great cake and cards. It is fun having birthdays again with your kids.

So here is to another year, hopefully I will make it to 39!

Girl Scout Night At The Circus

Olivia and I rode the train in to Boston on Friday night to join the Girl Scouts at the circus. At 5pm we had an animal care seminar, where we got to see the horses and elephants up close. Then, at 6pm we had the pre-show, where Olivia got to try on a circus costume and meet some clowns and performers. At 7pm the show started. By 8:30pm Olivia was ready to go find something to eat and get ready for the train ride home. We had a great mommy and me date! Thanks Auntie for paying for this event...

Pee Pee On Potty, Pee Pee On Potty...

This morning I got Lexi to finally go pee-pee on the potty after convincing her she really wants to wear her Dora big girl underwear. Her is a quick snapshot of her proud moment. Hopefully she will continue this trend.

Pampered Chef Party

Susan and I held a pampered chef party on Saturday night. It was so much fun. We invited some "old" friends from high school and had fun catching up. Here is a snapshot of us!
