Halloween Howl

Last night was Olivia's schools Halloween Howl party. Last year, Lexi was spotted doing the conga line with the 5th grade boys. This year she was very low key while Olivia danced the night away with her friends.

Olivia and Maria spent most of the night dancing.

The girls took their turns at the hula hoop contest, no winners, just see if you can hula hoop for the whole time the song plays.

Olivia and Beth strike a pose!

Olivia and Lexi stop for a quick pic at Olivia's locker.

Pumpkin Carving

Tuesday after dinner, we decided to do our pumpkin carving. Here are some pictures with the girls being creative.

Olivia's Fairy House

I was able to get a quick pic of Olivia's fairy house she created this weekend. We had our GS troop meeting yesterday and the girls were all amazed that the fairies did indeed visit their enchanted village and eat all the sunflower seeds.

Pumpkin Painting

Lexi enjoyed meeting up with some of her RISE preschool friends at Calaresso's yesterday for some pumpkin painting. The kids did a great job!

Lincoln Logs

At our house, we love building with Lincoln Logs. Here is a pic of our latest little village we created.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

For my birthday, Olivia treated us to some chinese take out plates. We also celebrated by eating the leftover mini cupcakes from the fairy house event. We were all so exhausted from the fairy event, but we celebrated anyways.

The best present I could get is my two my girls!

Building Fairy Houses

On Saturday, I organized a Fairy House event for the second grade level girl scouts in Reading. 70 Girl Scouts Signed Up, oh my goodness! With the help of their troop leaders they ventured into the woods to build fairy houses. It was such a great time. Each fairy house looked completely different than the next one. One troop even found a snake that they put into their garden around their fairy house. Luckily, it left before we viewed their house.

Here are some pics. Unfortunately, I accidentally erased Olivia's group and a few other pics from my camera.

Nuts in The Swamp....

In preparation for our big Girl Scout Fairy House Event next weekend, Olivia, Lexi and me went on a nature walk to collect natural materials. We collected bark, flowers, pine needles, leaves, and NUTS!!

Oh wow, look at this NUT we found in the swamp!

Actually we suckered Papa in to going into the swamp to get us the cat and nine tails!

Hmm, here Papa contemplates... I'm not too sure about this!

I hope there are no snakes in here!

The girls are so excited with their new findings.

Papa makes it out, without falling and being attacked by venomous beasts!

The end result, two happy girls holding their cat and nine tails and mom has a beautiful bouquet for her living room.

Olivia's First Apple Pie

A few weeks ago we went apple picking. We finally got around to making an apple pie. Well, actually Olivia made it. I helped to peel the apples and she mixed all the ingredients. She also did the edge decorating. Boy, was it yummy! She said she didn't like apple pie much, but I reminded her she should at least take a taste. Lexi on the other hand, loved it!
