We were so excited to spend a weekend away at my friend Fawn's house in Lake Sunapee. We were joined by Fawn and her daughter Skylar (8), Ellen and her daughter Anna (7). Our first night, the girls enjoyed a pajama party on the pull out bed and watched the movie Annie. On Saturday, we went to the lake for most of the day, where we encountered a real lifeguard drill (ask me the story). The girls had a great time swimming. Then, we were invited to Fawn's sisters house for a campfire. On Sunday, we spent some time down by the harbor, scouting for Steve Tyler of Aerosmith. Us moms, made a good example for our kids as we striked up a conversation with a man walking his puppy. He said he lived down the street, jokingly we asked if he lived next to Steve Tyler. He said actually a few houses down. Before you knew it, he was pulling into the harbor in his very, very nice boat picking us up and giving us a tour of the lake and a drive by of Steve Tyler's house. The best part was that Mr. Rick's house was much nicer than Steve Tyler's house. Perhaps we were stalking the wrong guy! Anyways, we had a great time and can't wait to do it again next year.
